Quality Assurance Systems at CSL
Because it's very important to know that you are happy at CSL, we will welcome your feedback at all times. At the end of every course you will be invited to complete a questionaire. Your opinions will therefore help us to maintain the highest teaching, accommodation and welfare standards for you.
All new students do a placement test (written, oral interview, listening and reading) on their first day.
- All new students are monitored carefully to make sure they have been placed in the right class.
- All students are tested regularly in their classes.
- We file all tests to monitor progress and quality assurance
- We apply syllabuses, schemes of work, lesson plans and the latest teaching materials
- We invite the leading publishers to present their catalogues
- We review all our courses to maintain their quality
- We invite student and staff feedback
- Our teachers all have first degrees and appropriate EFL teaching qualifications
- Our admin staff all have first degrees and experience of working in English language schools
- Our staff attend regular training events as part of their CPD (continuous professional development). For example members of staff have attended teacher training and DoS training courses, the annual IATEFL conference and the English UK Teachers Conference.
- All our teachers attend monthly meetings and workshops on the latest teaching methodology
- All our teachers undergo observation by the Director of Studies and attend the classes of their colleagues to exchange ideas of good practice
- Our staff include a teacher trainer and an examiner for Cambridge ESOL and Edexel.
- We are inspected by the British Council and by ABLS Accreditation to ensure that our standards remain high
