Trains to Swansea – General Information

There is a direct train service from London Paddington, Bristol Parkway and Cardiff Central to Swansea. Trains leave everyhour Monday to Sunday and the average journey time is 3 hours

Tickets can be purchased before travelling by phone (+44 1752 675646, English speaking only) or on the Internet.

You can collect tickets purchased on the Internet from the automatic ticket machines on Platform 1 of Paddington Station near the Ticket Office. You must use the same credit card which you used to purchase the ticket on the Internet to collect your ticket from the machine.

Cheap advanced purchase tickets are also available online but these can only be used for the time chosen. If you arrive late at the station because of a delayed flight, you will have to buy a new ticket and therefore we do not recommend purchasing these cheap tickets.

In the UK, trains run a very limited service late in the evening and at night. Please check the time of the last train from London to Swansea to make sure that your flight arrives in time for you to catch this last train.

Taxis are available at Swansea Station to take you to your accommodation .

Coaches to Swansea – General Information

National Express operates a direct coach service from Heathrow and Gatwick Airports to Swansea. You must book your seat in advance and you can do this on the National Express website. Remember to print your e-ticket as you must have a valid ticket before you can get on a National Express coach.

National Express also have a coach service from Stansted Airport but you have to change coaches at Heathrow. If you are travelling to Swansea from Bristol Airport, you can catch a National Express service to Bristol where you change coach to Swansea. Remember to print your e-ticket as you must have a valid ticket before you can get on a National Express coach.
