Registration
1 - City School of Languages must receive a completed application form ad proof of payment in order to register you for your course.
2 - Full payment must be received by City School of Languages no later than two weeks before the course starts. If full payment is not received by this time City School of Languages reserves the right to cancel the reservation.
3 - Each lesson consists of 45 minutes’ tuition.
Accommodation
1 - We recommend students to arrive either on a Saturday or Sunday and stay for a minimum of one week. Accommodation will be charged on a per night basis.
2 - Students wishing to extend their accommodation after arrival at the school may do so by speaking to our accommodation officer. Extensions are subject to availability of space.
3 - For the majority of accommodation needs, twin rooms are strictly for two people booking together for the same dates. The price shown is per person.
4 - If students decide to leave their accommodation earlier they will have to give one week’s notice. This means that they will have to pay for 7 nights from the day they inform City School of Languages that they wish to leave, whether they stay at the accommodation or not. Any credit due to the student will be refunded.
5 - There is a £25 charge if students decide to leave their accommodation earlier and City School of Languages is asked to find alternative accommodation.
Bank & National Holidays 2007
1 - City School of Languages is open on all Public Holidays except for Christmas, when the school will be closed from 24 December 2007 - 07 January 2008.
Travel and Medical Insurance
1 - City School of Languages strongly advises you to take out medical and/or travel insurance before you come to Swansea.
Cancellation & Refunds
1 - Failure to pay any balance outstanding by the due date will result in cancellation of your course and/or accommodation.
2 - Any changes to course/accommodation start dates must be communicated to the school office at least two weeks prior to the original start date. You will have one year, from the date of postponement, to begin your course. Failure to give adequate notice will result in cancellation of your course/ accommodation booking.

3 - Courses are non-transferable.
4 - There will be no reduction in the course fees if a course includes a public holiday.
5 - Refunds will only be made to the person who made the initial payment. Under no circumstances will refunds be made to a third party.
6 - A refund will be given in the case of a refused entry visa but a £100 charge will be retained by City School of Languages to cover expenses. Official proof of refusal from the British authorities will be required. Refunds will not be made without official documentation under any circumstances.
7 - Holiday entitlement (if applicable) will be clearly stated in your school registration letter and depends on course length.
8 - Requests for holidays must be made in advance and holidays must be for a minimum of one school week from Monday to Friday.
9 - It is your responsibility to inform the school office of any change of address or circumstance.
10 - In the case where you are unable to complete your course or you wish to suspend your course, City school of Languages will allow you to take a break for up to a maximum of one year from the date you suspend or until your visa expiry date -whichever is earlier.
11 - City School of Languages will provide attendance and progress reports but it is your responsibility to maintain a good attendance record. Students who do not attend school for 5 consecutives days will be removed from the class register and will need to contact the school office to resume their course. In the case of poor or non-attendance, City School of Languages will inform the Home Office if a student is absent for four consecutive weeks or more.
12 - Group courses include a maximum of 15 minutes’ break per class
13 - City School of Languages reserves the right to alter the timetable and/or transfer students from one class or course to another and to merge small classes or cancel courses or classes if necessary.
14 - Individual lessons cancelled with a minimum of 24 hours notice will be rescheduled. In all other circumstances, cancelled lessons will be lost.
15 - Students must be at least 16 years of age in order to register for a course at City School of Languages.
