GETTING TO SWANSEA

You are about to start your study abroad international education journey.

CSL's team will be welcoming you with open arms!

Connections to Swansea

As the second largest city of Wales, Swansea has good road and train connections with the rest of Wales and the UK. This page will give you information about travelling to the UK from your country and about travelling to Swansea from your airport of arrival.

Travelling to the UK

Most international students at the school travel by air and you will probably arrive in the UK at an airport. If you are travelling from outside the European Union, it is highly likely that you will be arriving into either London Heathrow (LHR) or London Gatwick (LGW). Both are major airports in the UK with excellent transport links and approximately 3 to 3 ½ hours away from Swansea. If you are travelling from the European Union, you will probably be flying into Bristol (BRS) or Cardiff (CWL), both of which are convenient airports if you want to travel to Swansea.

There are also excellent connections to UK regional airports through European cities such as Amsterdam and Paris. If you pass through another European airport, check beforehand whether you require a "transit visa". If your air journey involves a connection, whether in Europe or in the UK, ask the airline staff to check you and your belongings through to your final destination, as this will make your transit through the connection airport much easier.

Please make sure you have all the necessary document's, including your passport, visa (if applicable), your Offer Letter from the school and proof that you will be able to support yourself during your studies with us. If you run into any difficulty or need assistance, you can contact the school by telephone.
